Papa Muse (from Ithaca, NY) debut at Nietzsche’s Solo Acoustic - original music - story telling - Humor, Charm & Wit Indie Rock and world music. While many have enjoyed Papa Muse's big danceable band with horns and percussion, seeing an acoustic set by Papa Muse is enjoyable for some different reasons. Songwriter Way (Papa Muse) writes his songs on the acoustic guitar so it is the purest form for him. Growing up as a drummer, the acoustic guitar lends itself rhythmically to his percussive style of playing. And performing solo, the Way is able to move in different musical directions that you wouldn't get to experience with the bigger band. From obscure covers to deep original cuts, and witty banter, an evening with Papa Muse is satisfying. Please help welcome Papa Muse to his first official Buffalo performance. Trever Stribling (from PA LINE): Alternative-folk music, described as True-Grit Americana Trever will be sharing the night with his friend Way. This native of Buffalo has toward the country and has headlined major festivals. He is a jokester and musical storyteller that creates a soundscape that brings you on a journey high and low and everywhere in between. PA line recently played with Papa Muse in Ithaca and the audience loved the diversity and prowess of both bands. On Wednesday May 8th we will get intimate as these seasoned performer/songwriters bear their souls.

Papa Muse & the Lit Fuse are a fun and family friendly 6 piece band that features tasty horns and dynamic percussion. They play danceable rock and world rhythms, reminiscent of bands like The Talking Heads and Rusted Root. The band plays mostly original music but also some exciting cover tunes. The show ranges from funky high energy rock, Ska, Latin and Reggae grooves to beautiful acoustic ballads, taking you on a journey of genres to meet everyone's taste.

Playing with his big band is a rare treat for Papa Muse as band members come from as far as Syracuse and surrounding areas and there will be very few opportunities to experience this in 2024. Bandleader Way was also founder and principal organizer for the Musefest years ago and that community is still alive at the big band celebrations. Bring your smile and most appropriate dancing shoes as we embrace the warm evening together as a community on Friday June 7th.

Show are a bit more rare these days as we try to stay safe and protect one another from the pandemic.
